Testify
To testify or to give a testimony, as described by the dictionary, is evidence or proof provided by the existence or appearance of something. You see we are God's testimony to the world. Not that God cannot prove his existence without our help but we help build the case for Christ with our lives and how we share how God has been a part of it.
One aspect that we can testify about our God is through trials. No one has ever gotten something great or gone somewhere great without a few trials. We cannot expect the great things of God unless we are willing to go through the trials. We wouldn't really have a testimony if it were not for the trials. I would not have the testimony of how when I was in school I was going to be unable to pay for my second semester my Sophomore year. I prayed and asked the school if there was any other scholarships still available. To God's glory there was and I was able to not only complete that semester but my college career. That trial became a testimony for me.
Too many times we look at today. God cares about our day to day needs but I believe he likes to look at our lives as a whole. So instead of looking at that trial as something that will never be conquered, let's begin to think of the great testimony we will have when God helps us conquer that trial. When you have that testimony share it so that God gets the glory that he deserves. When you do that not only will your faith be built up but you will encourage the faith of others around you. Allow today's trials be a testimony to you and all those around you. When we have this perspective, the trial doesn't seem so bad.
